“Most times, the way isn’t clear, but you want to start anyway. It is in starting... that other steps become clearer.”
― Israelmore Ayivor, 'Leaders' Frontpage'
There is amazing power in small steps towards a goal. It’s not because life suddenly becomes perfect and all of life's troubles disappear. When we take one meaningful step, the world looks a little different. And not only that, maybe you are also different. Small steps towards greater flow
Everyone can benefit from counselling. That’s not a hot take; support from a person not from your family or social circle allows you to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a way that is true to you.
We seek counselling for a variety of reasons; overcoming a recent challenge, understanding ourselves and identity, reflecting on the past and it’s influence on the present, as well as developing plans for the future. Whatever your reasons, we can seek to increase a sense of peace, authenticity, and purpose. That’s what “flow” means to me.
❏ Knowing pain while making room for healing
❏ Stress without being overwhelmed
❏ Accountability with less shame
❏ Responsibility with less burden
❏ Energy that recharges daily
❏ Connection with more empathy
❏ Direction with more autonomy
❏ More fun, silliness, passion, and peace
Creating greater flow in life can happen in a number of ways:
✓ Developing greater awareness of ourselves and our experiences
✓ Learning to connect and empathize with others
✓ Showing compassion, care, and forgiveness to ourselves.
✓ Exploring different perspectives and challenging our ideas
✓ Problem-solving and experimenting with new ways to achieve our goals.
Here are resources that connect to different aspects of life, and hopefully we can learn ways to be mindful and intentional in those situations.
